What time is curfew in California?

California has no state law regarding curfew, according to an article in The New York Times. However, different municipalities have city-wide curfew laws, such as the law outlined by the Los Angeles Police Department.

In cities such as Los Angeles, the municipal code restricts the outdoor presence of juveniles after 10 p.m. Exceptions exist for children accompanied by a parent or guardian, for minors involved in a public event and during emergency situations, such as an earthquake. According to the San Jose Police Department, children in that city under 16 years of age may not be outside between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless accompanied by an adult.
