Cultured marble requires extra care to clean because the finish shows every scratch. One important tip for cleaning is to use a soft cloth or chamois. Abrasive cleaners and scouring pads damage the finish.

Cultured marble can be cleaned with a little soap or mild detergent with a soft cloth. A mixture of 1 gallon of water and one cap full of Murphy's Oil Soap is pH neutral, removes soap scum and leaves a nice shine. For hard water stains, a 50/50 mixture of distilled vinegar and water may be applied, allowed to dry for 30 minutes and then rinsed with a damp cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed by applying a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball.
