Whenever possible, use a landline telephone to avoid choppy cellphone signals. If you use a cellphone for the interview, make sure it is sufficiently charged for the anticipated duration of the interview. Choose a secluded area with minimal distractions for your interview. Turn your ringer on in an effort to not mistakenly miss the phone call. Answer the phone in a pleasant manner and state your name. Take notes whenever possible and always stay engaged in the conversation. Research the company before the interview, and always ask thoughtful, insightful questions at the end of the interview.
