What are some tips for removing ink stains?

Hand sanitizer and rubbing the stain from the outside can remove ink stains. The garment should be washed in the hottest recommended setting and should not be dried until the stain has been completely removed.

When an ink stain is fresh, using a bit of hand sanitizer will loosen it, making it easier to remove. Once the stain is saturated with hand sanitizer, it can be blotted away. Regular bar soap and cold water can be used to remove the residual stain. White clothing will benefit by the addition of bleach to the laundry cycle. Colors should always be washed with color-safe bleach.
