Cleaning and replacing windshield wiper blades are two wiper repairs that can be done without the use of tools. To clean the blades, pull the wipers out from the windshield, and wipe the blades down with hot soapy water. To replaced worn blades, find the release tab on the underside of the wiper, and slide the blade off. Put the new blade on by sliding it down the length of the wiper.
