The United States, Saudi Arabia and Russia are the top three oil producers, according to 2014 data. Added together, these three countries produced more oil than the rest of the countries in the top 10.

The United States, Saudi Arabia and Russia produced 13,973, 11,624 and 10,853 barrels of oil per day respectively. However, the United States also consumes and imports considerably more oil than any other country but exports less than Canada, Mexico, Norway and the United Kingdom. Likewise, the United States has fewer oil reserves than 10 other countries, some of which include the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Venezuela and Nigeria.
