According to Car and Driver, the Mazda RX-8 is able to go from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 150 mph. The RX-8 makes use of a two-rotor Wankle engine able to produce up to 247 break horsepower.

The RX-8 is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-door coupe with seating for up to four passengers. The RX-8 has a curb weight of 3,050 pounds and is powered by an 80-cubic-inch rotary engine. The car has a standing quarter-mile time of just under 15 seconds and is available with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.
