There is not a Tree Town Toys in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The store closed its only location at the end of 2011 with the intention of switching to an online-only business plan.

The owners of Tree Town Toys decided to move their store online, so they could focus on another project. With that said, the pair did not give up on their business. In an interview with Ann Arbor News, one was quoting as saying, "retail is a different business right now." Simply speaking, they planned to operate the store with the same service and functionality without the overhead cost and work of a physical store.
