How do you trigger the afterburn effect?
By Forinfos - 21/11/2025 - 0 comments
The after-burn effect can be triggered by an intense workout and exercise routine. Known as excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, or EPOC in scientific terms, the effect is triggered as a result of the body burning calories.
Any kind of exercise done at a tolerable intensity is less likely to trigger an after-burn effect. The intensity as well as the duration of an exercise are considered to be the two biggest variables affecting EPOC. For instance, sprinting as fast as possible in 30 seconds for five rounds triggers a much larger after-burn effect as compared to moderate jogging for 30 minutes.
