The average overall cost for an 85,000-BTU Rheem furnace with installation is $5,440, while the average cost of the Trane equivalent with installation is $6,872. The average furnace installation cost among all major oil furnace manufacturers, including Carrier and Lennox, is $5,440, making Trane the most expensive. For natural gas furnaces, Trane is also more expensive than Rheem.
