What type of ductwork is the easiest to install?

Flexible ductwork is easier to install than the solid metal variety and is commonly used to vent dryers and for heating and air conditioning systems. It's usually made of aluminum and comes with or without fiberglass insulation. Special collars and duct tape are used to connect and secure the pieces.
When installing flexible ductwork, it's important to avoid turning corners too sharply, which can kink the line and restrict airflow. The ductwork must also be larger than the pipes to be efficient. Flexible ductwork doesn't usually last as long as the solid metal variety. However, it is available different grades, including a semi-flexible variety, which is more durable.
