Which type of fault is under compression?

The type of fault found under compression is called a reverse fault. A reverse fault occurs when two pieces of the Earth's crust are pushed together.
The point at which two tectonic plates collide is known as a convergent boundary. When these plates collide, they form a nearly vertical fault plane. As the plates move into each other, one plate gradually moves over the other. This section is known as the hanging wall of the fault. The plate sliding underneath the hanging wall is known as the foot wall. The hanging wall is actively pushed up, while the foot wall is being pushed down by the movement of the Earth's crust.
