Some historical monuments in the United States include the Statue of Liberty, the Washington Monument, Mount Rushmore and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. The Lincoln Memorial and Monticello are also important historical U.S. monuments.

The Statue of Liberty is located in New York. Dedicated in October 1886, the statue was a gift from France and is one of the most iconic images representing America. The 305-foot-high statue is made of bronze and was designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi.

The Washington Monument is a 555-foot-tall obelisk in Washington D.C. At the time of its completion, it was the tallest structure in the world. It was built to commemorate George Washington.
