Test dates for Postal Service exams can be found in a variety of places such as at usps.com/employment, state employment offices, local media, and municipal building bulletin boards. The exam announcements are placed in locations to allow for widespread publicity so that positions with the USPS are filled quickly.

The examination period is open for a minimum of five days. Applications for testing are not accepted before the start date or after the end date of the examination period. Most entry-level jobs require a passing score on one or more exams, but passing an exam does not mean job acceptance.
