What does UFO stand for?

The term "UFO" stands for unidentified flying object, which is used to refer to light or objects seen on land or in the sky. Any light or object spotted in the sky or on land that exhibits motion, lights, colors or trajectories not normally seen, and cannot be explained in a natural, logical or conventional manner may be referred to as a UFO.

UFOs are spotted most by people when they are not actively looking, and are more likely observed by people who live in the country or in smaller population centers. Despite the fact that many people actually spend time looking for UFOs, most are spotted by individuals who are not trying, and are spotted on accident. The most common type of UFO observed is referred to as nocturnal lights which appear as tiny spots of light moving in irregular patterns across the sky.
