What are ultrasound measurements?
By Forinfos - 14/07/2025 - 0 comments
Ultrasound measurements are fetal measurements used by health care professionals to determine the gestational age of a fetus during pregnancy. Measurements that fall outside the normal range can indicate potential problems with the pregnancy.
Ultrasound measurements show whether the fetus is growing normally. As the fetus grows, ultrasounds are used to keep track of the head and abdominal circumferences as well as to give an estimated weight of the fetus. If the estimated weight is lower than expected, this usually indicates a problem with the fetus or placenta. A high estimated weight can indicate that the mother has developed gestational diabetes, and more tests will be performed.
