UnitedHealthcare offers two types of Medicare Part D prescription drug plans, according to its website. As of 2015, the AARP MedicareRx Preferred Plan has no annual deductible, and the AARP MedicareRx Saver Plus Plan has a $360 annual deductible. Both plans come with OptumRx home delivery.
Both AARP MedicareRx Medicare Part D plans cover many of the generic and brand-name prescription drugs available, but the exact drug list differs between the plans, notes UnitedHealthcare. Patients should check the list of both plans to confirm whether their medications are covered. Both plans offer a low co-pay when prescriptions are filled with a pharmacy listed in the preferred retail pharmacy network.
