How do you update to the newest version of DirectX?

DirectX is an integral part of Windows operating systems. Update DirectX by applying the latest service pack or other updates through Windows Update in the Control Panel. Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update. Click the Check for updates link, and then click Install now.

1. Open the main menu

   Click the Start button.

2. Select All Programs

   Click All Programs.

3. Select Windows Update

   Click Windows Update.

4. Search for updates

   Click the Check for updates link. If a newer version of DirectX exists, it will be detected and included in the list of updates available for download and installation.

5. Install updates

   Click Install now to run the updates.
