Where is Uruguay?

Uruguay encompasses roughly 68,000 square miles along the southeastern coast of South America. Its neighboring countries are Brazil to the north and east and Argentina to the west. Uruguay is the second-smallest nation on the continent.

The capital city of Montevideo lies along Uruguay's southern shore. According to Wikipedia, this city has a metropolitan population of roughly 1.8 million of the nation's 3.4 million residents as of 2010. With a landscape dominated by low, rolling grasslands, much of Uruguay's economy centers around barley, corn, livestock, rice and wheat. The country's main exports include leather products, meat, rice, vehicles and wool.
