What is a USAF portal?

The USAF portal is a private, secure website through which members of the U.S. Air Force can log in. There they can access orders, training information, important work-related correspondence and the like.

The U.S. Air Force was first recognized as an individual branch of the U.S. military in 1947, after the end of World War II. Prior to that it was considered to be a part of the U.S. Army. The USAF was one of the first official government programs and the first military branch that supported racial integration. In April 1948, it officially enacted an integration policy. This was months before the president of the United States enacted his own integration policy.
