The USBC, or United States Bowling Congress, does not provide a national bowling average. However, it does publish a variety of records and statistics on its website, Bowl.com. These include unofficial scoring records, participation and leadership records and high individual series by state.
For example, on Bowl.com's "Overall Individual High Series by State," Alabama's Paul Ealy of Hoover, Alabama, set a record with a score of 896, while Andrew Mank of Bellevue, Illinois, holds that state's record with a score of 900, as of 2015.
Other notable scores include Mississippi's Sean English of Diamondhead, who bowled an 899 in 2013, and North Carolina's Chris McSwain of Gastonia who bowled an 890 in 2014.
