How do you use a Char-Broil grill?

To use a Char-Broil gas grill, turn off the gas valve on the propane tank, turn off all of the grill knobs, attach the tank to the grill, secure the gas lines, hand tighten the nuts and valves and check for leaks. To use a Char-Broil charcoal grill, place charcoals in a mound, squirt a small amount of lighter fluid onto the mound and light the coals.
Run through the following steps to set up and use a Char-Broil gas grill.
- Turn off the valves and knobs
- Attach the tank to the grill
- Remove the seal from the tank
- Attach the gas line to the grill
- Tighten the valve
- Check for leaks
- Turn on the grill
Turn off the valves on the gas tank by turning them clockwise. Rotate all of the knobs on the grill to the "off" position.
Different Char-Broil grill models involve different setup instructions. Therefore, users should consult the grill's manual for proper instructions.
Before removing the seal, make sure it is not damaged.
Take the regulator on the gas line and insert it onto the gas tank valve.
Hand tighten the nut onto the gas tank valve. Tighten all of the parts until they stop completely.

Turn on the grill to start grilling food.
Run through the following steps to set up and use a Char-Broil charcoal grill.
- Create a pile of coals
- Add lighter fluid
- Light the coals
- Start grilling
Arrange the coals into a small pile.
Add a small amount of lighter fluid to the sides and top of the coals.
Carefully light the coals after applying the fluid.
Wait around 15 minutes to allow the coals to heat up properly. A coating of gray ash indicates that the coals are ready to use.
