To convert percentage grades into a 4.0 grade point average scale using a GPA converter, input your percentage grades. Then input either the number of credits or the weight of the class. Run the calculator.

  1. Input your percentage grades

    Type in the percentage grade you have for each class you took in the same semester. If the converter uses letter grades, use a chart to convert the percentage into a letter grade.

  2. Choose the credits or weight

    If the classes were in college, type in the number of credit hours for each one. If the classes were in high school, choose the credits or, if appropriate, the weight of the class: regular, honors or college.
