How do you use laundry crystals?

To use laundry crystals, choose the amount for the desired scent level, add crystals to the washer, launder as usual and enjoy the lasting scent. You need a container of laundry crystals, regular laundry products, a load of laundry and access to a washer. Time needed is about 40 minutes for a typical load of laundry.

1. Choose the amount of crystals

   Most brands of laundry crystals advise using a capful, but you can use as much or as little as you prefer to reach your desired level of scent. The scent typically lasts about two weeks.

2. Add crystals to the washer

   Add laundry crystals directly into the drum of the washing machine. The crystals work with both high-efficiency and regular washing machines. Do not put crystals into the detergent dispenser.

3. Launder as usual, and enjoy the lasting scent

   Add laundry, detergent and fabric softener, if desired. Laundry crystals do not reduce static cling or soften fabrics. Run the washing machine normally. The crystals, which look like small beads, dissolve into the clothing and leave the desired scent. Dry clothing as usual. The scent from laundry crystals lasts through the dryer cycle and remains for awhile once clothing is in the closet.
