How do you use Mapquest to find the distance between two cities?

Find the distance between two cities by entering the name and state of the first city in the search box on MapQuest's homepage. Click "Get Directions" to enter details of the second city and select the car icon above the box.

Click "Options" to choose miles or kilometers, shortest time or shortest distance, or anything you wish to avoid, such as toll roads or border crossings. Click "Get Directions" to view suggested routes between the two cities with details on the distance, length of journey and driving directions for each route. MapQuest estimates distance in miles or kilometers and also offers a map highlighting each route.
