How do you use a Message-in-a-Cookie cutter?

To use a Message-in-a-Cookie cutter, roll out cookie dough. Slide in the letters or words into the cookie cutter. Press the cookie cutter into the dough. To imprint the words into the cookie, press the stick at the top of the cookie cutter.

1. Roll out the cookie dough

   Sugar cookie dough that has been chilled works best for cookie cutters. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured cutting board or countertop. The dough should be about 1/8 inch thick.

2. Slide in the message

   Select the message you want to be on your cookies. The Message-in-a-Cookie cutter set comes with seven premade words and three sets of alphabet letters with extra vowel and other commonly used letters. The premade phrases are: "Welcome," "Happy," "Birthday," "Holidays," "Thank You," "From" and "I Love You." Slide the words into the slots on the cookie cutter.

3. Cut out the cookies

   Press the cookie cutter down on the cookie dough to cut out the shape of the cookie. Then, press down on the stick at the top of the cookie cutter to make an imprint of the words on the cookie. Lightly flouring the cooking cutters prevents the cookie dough from sticking to the cookie cutters. Bake the cookies in the oven.
