To use a U.S. savings bond calculator, enter the information from the face of the bond into the calculator, and click on Calculate. The calculator displays the current value of the bonds, explains TreasuryDirect.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury maintains a calculator tool on its website to make it easy to determine the current value of any treasury bond, notes TreasuryDirect. The calculator needs information such as the type of bond, its serial number, date of issue and denomination in order to calculate the bond's present value. To determine a bond's value on another date, change the value date at the top of the calculator.
