During the 1900s, Americans used books, music and movies for entertainment. However, radios and televisions had not yet been invented yet so most everything had to be enjoyed live.
The movie industry was just becoming popular in the 1900s, but still served as an option for entertainment. Popular movies during this time include "Why Mrs. Jones Got a Divorce," released in 1900, and "A Trip to the Moon," released in 1903.
Books served as a popular choice of entertainment for adults and children. Popular titles include "The Octopus" by Frank Norris and "The Iron Heel" by Jack London. People also enjoyed going to the theater in person during this time. Vaudeville shows were also favorites.
