What are some uses for fresh dates?

Fresh dates are delicious when eaten on their own. They can also be added to salads, used to flavor meat dishes, or stuffed and served as appetizers.

To make stuffed dates, combine 1/4 cup each of walnuts, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, organic raisins, dried cranberries and apricots together with 2 tablespoons of citrus juice, 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon and 1/4 tablespoon of nutmeg. Place all the ingredients in a food processor, and process to mix together. Cut the date open halfway, remove the pit and spoon the stuffing inside. Dates can also be stuffed with many other ingredients, such as cream cheese.
