What is the value of a federal duck stamp?
By Forinfos - 13/05/2025 - 0 comments
Recently issued federal duck stamps carry little to no demand and a value of just a few dollars, while an unhinged 1934 stamp is valued at up to $1,950 to collectors as of 2014. Artist-signed stamps and blocks of stamps are worth significantly more.
The actual value and demand is dependent upon the year of issue, the condition, and whether or not they are signed by the purchaser, or "used." The stamps are a result of the Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp Act, which was signed by Herbert Hoover to generate revenue for the conservation of wetlands. The stamp are not valid for postage but serve as a permit to hunt as proof of payment of dues.
