Some of the major manufacturers of vehicle daytime running lamps are Osram and Philips. A daytime running lamp is a lighting device installed on the front of a roadworthy car or bicycle.

A daytime running lamp automatically switches on whenever a car is in motion. Both Osram and Philips utilize light-emitting diode, or LED, technology in the manufacture of DRLs. The use of LED in daytime running lamps provides maximum safety on the road while at the same time giving a car a stylish appearance. As of 2015, Osram markets its DRLs with the product name LEDriving. Philips markets its DRLs as X-treme Ultinon LED bulbs.
