What is an ultralight fifth wheel RV?

An ultralight fifth wheel RV is a recreational vehicle that is made from lightweight composite materials. The fifth wheel RV is meant to be towed behind a truck or sport utility vehicle.
Ultralight RVs are made from composite and aluminum frames, rather than steel. Some brands also remove or reduce wood as much as possible to further reduce the weight, such as Camp Lite. This helps make ultralight vehicles hundreds of pounds lighter than their counterparts.
The lower weight makes it possible for smaller vehicles, like SUVs, to tow a moderate-sized RV. Fifth wheel trailers must always be towed via a special hitch at the back of another vehicle, called the fifth-wheel hitch.
