Where is Venezuela?

Venezuela is located along the northern coast of South America, encompassing more than 350,000 square miles. Bordering countries include Colombia to the west, Brazil to the south and Guyana to the east. Caribbean islands near the coast of Venezuela include Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, the Leeward Antilles and Trinidad and Tobago.

The most populated and capital city of Caracas rests in the north central part of the country near the coastline. The Andes Mountains stretch across parts the west, while the Amazon Basin rain forest occupies a portion of the country's southern region. Valuable natural resources of Venezuela include natural gas, petroleum, gold, iron ore and other minerals.
