Where does ventricular systole blood flow?

Ventricular systole blood flows inside the right and left ventricles of the heart. Ventricular systole occurs when blood fills the heart's right ventricle and contracts. This process is required for the heart to pump blood properly throughout the body.
During ventricular systole, the pulmonary valve opens and shuts rapidly to allow blood to flow through the pulmonary arteries into the lungs to receive oxygen. Blood exits the heart via the aortic valve. The blood flows into the aorta from the heart and enters the body. This process is repeated to allow blood to flow constantly into the heart, lungs and other areas of the body.
