Generally, the vehicle identification number for a recreational vehicle is located on the driver's side near the bottom edge of the windshield. Jayco RVs with motors have the VIN number on a decal located on the driver's side door jamb.

Towable Jayco RVs have the VIN number on the lower side of the road side sidewall. All Class C motorhomes manufactured after 1981 have a 17-digit VIN number that tracks the vehicle's history. The number is often located on the vehicle steering column, firewall, passenger side post or left instrument panel. The engine and other component parts may also contain the VIN. Sales documents that a RV dealer gives the purchaser typically contain the vehicle VIN number.
