The VIN number for a 1967 Austin-Healey vehicle, which is unique for each Austin Healy chassis, can be found on a plate located on the firewall. The VIN number is also stamped into the right front shock tower.
In addition to the unique chassis VIN number, an engine serial number can be found stamped on an aluminum plate located on the right side of the engine block. Together, these numbers serve as unique identifiers for each Austin-Healey vehicle and engine. The identification numbers can be used to confirm the authenticity of the vehicle, determine the vehicle's manufacture date and assess the vehicle's resale value.
