Will vinegar and water kill weeds?
By Forinfos - 06/04/2026 - 0 comments
The acetic acid in vinegar is a natural weed killer, but adding water dilutes its effectiveness. Because household vinegar only has a 5 percent concentration of acetic acid, it must be applied multiple times.
The best way to kill weeds with vinegar is to brush the vinegar right onto each weed, similar to painting. Spray bottles tend to scatter a lot of vinegar to the wind. To get the most power out of a vinegar application, it is best to use it in the weeks before the plants release their seeds so that they can't scatter the next generation of weeds around the yard before they die.
