In which Virginia county is Richmond located?

Richmond is located in Henrico County in Virginia. Richmond was founded in 1737 but did not officially become a town until 1780.

Richmond is the capital of Virginia and is home to many tourist attractions. The town blends many different cultures and contains many historic areas.

The county of Henrico was established in 1634 as one of the eight original counties in the state. The county went through many changes throughout the years. For instance, the area was home to many different Civil War battles including the battle of Seven Pines. The county is also home to Brook Hill Plantation which was once designed go guard an entrance into Richmond.
