What is a VPN on an iPhone?
By Forinfos - 28/12/2025 - 0 comments
A VPN, or virtual private network, on an iPhone is a simulated point-to-point connection that enables the iPhone to communicate securely over a public network using Wi-Fi or a cellular data network. A VPN can be set up using virtual tunneling protocols or encryption to manage network traffic.
iPhone users may need their mobile device to access their work email or other extended network resources. A VPN makes company programs and information available as if the user is in the office building. VPN configuration on an iPhone is available in the general settings menu. Typically, the same settings used with Mac OS X on a computer can be used with iOS on the mobile device.
