Are there vultures in "Jungle Book"?

There are no vultures in Rudyard Kipling's original "The Jungle Book." However, in the 1967 Disney film adaptation of the original book, four vultures named Buzzy, Dizzy, Flaps and Ziggy were added.
The Disney film adaptation had originally planned to use the Beatles as the voice actors for the four vultures who sang the song "That's What Friends are For." Unfortunately, John Lennon refused the role, so the plan was abandoned. Afterwards, the vultures were still cast with British accents and drawn with the shaggy hairstyle popularized by the Beatles. They were voiced by Digby Wolfe, Lord Tim Hudson, Chad Stuart and J. Pat O'Malley.
