How do you watch "The Lion King" movie online?

"The Lion King" is sometimes available from digital download services such as Amazon, iTunes and Netflix, but goes through periods of unavailability due to Disney release policies. The film is generally only available for a short period after a new edition is released.

Disney's release policy is known as "The Disney Vault." Under this policy, movies from their catalog are only made available once every two to seven years for a brief period. Digital downloads that have been purchased during a period of availability should continue to be available when the movie returns to the vault, however. Purchasing a used DVD or Blu-Ray is the only alternative if "The Lion King" is currently in the vault.
