What is the water level in Hoover Dam?
By Forinfos - 07/05/2025 - 0 comments
As of July 2015, the water level in the Hoover Dam reservoir is at its lowest point ever, at just under 1075 feet. This level is 140 feet lower than its highest point, recorded in 1983.
The Hoover Dam reservoir provides water to Nevada and Arizona. If the level continues to drop through the end of 2015, both states will have to initiate water cutbacks to help curtail the drop. In recent years, droughts throughout the southwestern United States have been the largest contributor to the drop in water level. About 96 percent of the water contained by the dam comes from snow runoff from Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming.
