What is the best way to clean chrome?

One of the best and most inexpensive ways to clean chrome is with aluminum foil. This is done by crinkling the foil up and wet ting it.

Slowly rubbing the chrome with the wet aluminum foil polishes and cleans it without scratching the surface, as some other abrasive materials are known to do. Another common household product that cleans chrome is vinegar. This works especially well when rust is present on the chrome piece. Vinegar cleaning can be done by taking a soft cloth, dipping it in vinegar and rubbing it over the entire piece. For heavily soiled pieces, adding a sprinkle of baking soda to the vinegar is effective.
