The websites of Bankrate, Zillow and HSH Associates each provide free mortgage calculators. These sites allow users to determine an estimated monthly payment based on the mortgage amount and other financial factors.

Each of these websites allows site visitors to enter the mortgage amount, loan term and interest rate to generate a monthly payment total. On Bankrate's site, users can also enter an exact start date, and HSH Associates allows entry of a start year for the mortgage. Zillow gives visitors the option to enter additional specific details if desired, such as the property tax rate, annual home insurance amount and homeowners association dues if applicable.
