Some well-known mascots include Mr. Met, Phillie Phanatic, San Diego Chicken and Harvey the Hound. Other memorable mascots include Ronald McDonald, Mr. Peanut, Michelin Man, Tony the Tiger and The Burger King. The Burger King was voted the most-disliked mascot in a Business Insider poll.

Phillie Phanatic first appeared in 1978, since then he performed entertaining acts such as driving an ATV on the field and dancing with the opposing team’s players. The San Diego Chicken mascot debuted in 1974 and was the first professional mascot to taunt an opposing team. Harvey the Hound first appeared in 1983 and was the first NHL mascot. Ronald McDonald debuted in 1963 and was interpreted by Willard Scott.
