President John F. Kennedy's last words before his assassination in Dallas, Texas, were, "That is very obvious." He spoke the phrase to Nellie Connolly, the wife of Texas Governor John Connolly. She had remarked to him, “Mr. President, you can’t say Dallas doesn’t love you!â€
Within moments after the interaction, he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald at approximately 12:30 p.m. as his motorcade passed through Dealey Plaza. He was pronounced dead 30 minutes later at 1:00 p.m.
The president's last words to his wife Jackie were, ''Take off the glasses, Jackie." She had put on the sunglasses while riding in the motorcade due to the glare of the sun.
