Popular Nigerian movies in 2014 included "30 Days In Atlanta," "A Place In The Stars," "October 1st" and "Invasion 1897." The Nigerian movie industry, also known as Nollywood, released the second-most films of any country in 2007, and was estimated to be worth nearly $5 billion in 2014.

"Invasion 1897" was directed by one of Nigeria's most prolific filmmakers, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen. The plot of the movie revolves around the 1897 invasion of the Benin Kingdom by the British Empire.

The romantic comedy "30 Days In Atlanta" was Nollywood's highest-grossing cinema movie of all time and features scenery from both Atlanta, Georgia and the Nigerian city of Lagos.
