Who were the two leading muckrakers of the Progressive Era?

Ray Stannard Baker and Ida Tarbell were leading muckrakers of the Progressive Era. Baker published "The Right to Work" in 1903, exposing the dangerous conditions of coal mine workers. Tarbel published "The Rise of the Standard Oil Company" in 1902, which revealed the corrupt practices used to manipulate trusts.

Muckrackers refers to a movement of American writers who took part in investigative journalism. They wrote exposé and reform literature and worked to uncover political and corporate corruption.
