What do white tigers eat?

White tigers are carnivores and, in the wild, they often feed on large mammals, such as wild boar, buffalo and deer. Depending upon what is available in a particular area, white tigers may also prey on smaller animals, such as fish and monkeys.

White tigers typically hunt alone. They stalk their quarry, creeping up close before attacking. To kill a larger animal, a white tiger uses its strong jaws to grip the throat of the prey, suffocating it. A single bite to a small animal usually kills it by severing the spinal cord. Tigers tend to hide their food and consume it over a number of days.
