What is a William Baffin rose?

The William Baffin rose is a shade-tolerant hardy rose that thrives in cold temperatures. Its pink blossoms open in late June or early July and continue to bloom through the fall. The William Baffin rose was introduced in 1983.

The William Baffin rose has canes that can reach 8 to 12 feet in height. Though the rose is categorized as a shrub rose, the long canes can be trained to climb a post or trellis. The William Baffin rose is disease-resistant and requires minimal care. Its 3- to 4-inch blooms have very little fragrance and occur in clusters of up to 30 blossoms, creating a vibrant display.
